A New Perspective on Travel Goals

I have to confess, working in the travel industry makes it hard to have clear travel goals for the new year. I am constantly looking at far-off destinations and amazing trips that we have the opportunity to plan for our clients. Regardless of this, I always try to have a new travel goal each year.

Be bold enough to believe that all the things you want to see and the places you want to go aren’t just a dream, but a plan you’re going to see through to the end.

I hope that you are all staying nice and warm on this chilly January day! We are busy here at the agency planning lots of great trips for our clients and a few for ourselves.

One thing is for certain and that is that the world is opening for travel. The destinations that we are booking range from custom trips abroad to some pretty cool road trips. I am personally building our Spring Break trip, we are going to take a road trip down to Asheville, NC, over to Atlanta, GA and then who knows we may stop by the Corvette Museum on our way back.

This is will be a first for our family as we usually fly when we travel, but we are up for the adventure! I am really looking forward to seeing the Biltmore Estate through the eyes of my children and then exploring Atlanta as a family; I hope they love the children’s area in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as much as I do! Remember that we are always here to answer questions and to help you plan your own adventure.

Travel Goals for 2022

I have to confess, working in the travel industry makes it hard to have clear travel goals for the new year. I am constantly looking at far-off destinations and amazing trips that we have the opportunity to plan for our clients. Regardless of this, I always try to have a new travel goal each year.

The first goal is to become a traveler in my own town. I have learned the past few weeks that the Greater Lafayette area has tons of businesses and activities that I wasn’t aware of. I want to take this year to see my home through the eyes of outside travelers and reconnect with the area.

The second goal is reconnecting with nature through travel. Hiking and spending time outdoors has always been one of my favorite things, and I haven’t taken time to be with nature as much as I would like. I plan to visit more National Parks this year, but don’t worry, I will also get in that much needed beach trip.

Travel truly has the power to open our perspective of the world and allow us to learn more about ourselves in the process. I can’t wait to see what I will learn through my new travel goals this year and how I will take that knowledge into 2023.

If you could do anything in 2022, what would your travel goals be? Maybe we could help you reach them.
